Onboarding gives new hires the best possible chance of success
New executive hires perform better and add value faster when supported through the initial period of a role.
To set candidates up for success from the start, Resourceful Pro has launched onboarding coaching as a standard inclusion in our executive search offering.
The recruitment process doesn’t conclude when an individual signs a contract and is actually more likely to succeed in the long term when a formal onboarding program is in place. We partner with you so that you can provide a contemporary and originative onboarding solution for your new hires.
With a track record of onboarding success, backed by independent studies and a wealth of experience, Resourceful Pro’s innovative onboarding coaching program is now built into our search pricing structure.
New employees that produce value faster
Employers require new executive hires to start producing value rather than consuming value as quickly as possible. We provide a personal coach to your newly signed employee for the duration of their resignation and probation period to help them do just that.
Our coaches act as a confidante and sounding board, providing a balance of support and challenge so your new employee can more effectively learn, develop and adapt to the new situation.
Each new hire can choose from a selection of experienced coaches, recognised for their industry knowledge and leadership capabilities.
Candidates are given up to six sessions that can start any time after they resign from their old position, with the programme concluding at the end of their first 100 days in the new role.
The program is highly flexible, allowing an exploration of whatever arises during the initial employment period. When we place a candidate in a role, we believe they have the capability to solve problems themselves. Coaching builds confidence and offers an opportunity to talk through issues, assess risks and develop a roadmap for success in the first three months.
Resourceful Pro’s onboarding program
Executive appointments are more likely to succeed when there is alignment between the organisation’s and executive’s perception of the role. Uniting these two aspects of a role is at the heart of a successful onboarding solution. An optional first session is a three-way meeting of the coach, new hire and boss to clarify what was discussed at interview and the expected initial achievements.
Remaining sessions are confidential discussions between the coach and coachee, which we recommend take place in person or by Skype/FaceTime every 2-3 weeks.
Targeted outcomes
- Uniting expectations of the company and the executive
- Developing a roadmap for success, & establishing a plan for adding value in the first 100 days
- Building a network of influential and creative collaborators
- Overcoming fears and building confidence
- Achieving and sustaining high levels of performance, & building momentum and generating ongoing value
Independent research shows that effective onboarding programs result in higher retention, faster time to promotion and increased average tenure. Offering formal onboarding can help companies attract the best talent available.
Our program is designed to mitigate risks, ensure employee engagement and retention as well as maximise the value and return the employee can create in those first 100 days.
